Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest global threats to health. It’s estimated that antibiotics resistant superbugs will kill more than cancer by 2050. That’s why we’ve worked with healthcare professionals in Leeds to develop a campaign called Seriously Resistant to raise awareness of antibiotic resistance, help educate people about what they can do and encourage them to take action.

Pharmacy First service
Patients can now get treatment for seven common conditions directly from their local pharmacy, without the need for a GP appointment or prescription.
The Pharmacy First scheme was launched by the government and NHS England on 31 January 2024 to give patients quick and accessible care and ease pressure on GP services.
- Need healthcare advice? Thinking ‘Pharmacy First’ makes it easier to get help.
- Skip the morning rush to see a GP by visiting your pharmacy if you suspect you have one of seven minor conditions.
